Thanks to everybody that came out for the opening night of ALVAREZ / KAO

The screening went really well and seeing all of the films and videos together was a real treat.

The highlight of the night had to be the live soundtrack provided by Vijay Anderson and Darren Johnston for Jeff Kao's latest piece "Scared of Girls"-without spoiling it, I just have to say I never knew a toothbrush could sound so good.

COMING UP: we've got the Divisadero Art Walk on Thursday Dec. 3rd-which we will be open late for (til 10) as well as the SECOND SCREENING/CLOSING OF ALVAREZ / KAO on Dec. 11th from 7pm-Midnight-so be sure to stop by for that if you missed the first screening.

PAL +BUS

Thanks to everyone that came out for the latest Divisadero Art Walk and the opening of PAL +BUS at Big Umbrella Studios. The opening night was a lot of fun and well attended, with a ton of the artists from the Poor Artist League and Big Umbrella in attendance. EARS who shows with PAL even made the trip from Australia.

The show will be up for a full month until April 4th so stop by and check it out if you haven't yet. There is a ton of great work in the show from these two organizations and the quality of the work is top notch.

We are currently accepting new artist applications! Big Umbrella members get studio space to work in and wall space to sell art. Proposals for Guest Artists and future shows also accepted.
