I paint to make suggestions. To hint at stories not written down and forgotten, from yesterday, last year and childhood. The lines in my paintings are the connections that make the stories possible, the relationships, spaces and happenings. Though I often do not know what the story is, or how it ends, I hope that each of my paintings as built by the lines within it is capable of capturing a moment. A moment when things went smoothly or a sudden turn that startles and amazes. I paint for that, the humanity of sharing a memory with a bit of ink or paint on canvas.
